Our Staff Dr. R. Michael Alvarez graduated from the University of Southern California, in 1977. In 1979, Dr. Alvarez established his dentistry practice in Fremont. Now, in 2007, his practice has grown to over 1000 patients. Dr. Alvarez and his staff strive to provide you with the best dental care in a safe and comfortable manner. Dr. Bahar Tehrani is a graduate of USC School of Dentistry -- one of the top dental schools in the country, and completed her Bachelor's degree in Cell Biology at UC Berkeley. She is a very conscientious person who spent many hours during dental school volunteering at different dental clinics. She was placed on the Dean's list over the last two years of dental school, as a result of her hard work and high clinical and academic achievement. She also performed extensive volunteer work at the children's dental mobile clinics and she possesses great knowledge and skills on all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. Her other interests include reading, running, yoga and playing the guitar. The team that supports Dr. Alvarez and Dr. Tehrani includes a number of experienced individuals, who each share the doctor's belief that our goal is to respond personally to your individual needs and preferences. Each staff member has many years of experience in their respective positions. Our Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) are Claudette and Julie. Lola is our Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)/Financial Secretary. Our other RDAs are Patti, Penelope, and Sergio. Patti is also our Receptionist/Medical Insurance Billing Specialist. Lucy is our Clerical Assistant. Both Sergio and Penelope are certified Oral System Balance Therapists. Our team's commitment extends beyond your office visits. We contact you when it is time for a recall visit and we call to remind you of upcoming appointments already on the schedule.
